Upgrading Older Bikes

You have an older bike? Don’t worry, you can upgrade your bike to use the app. All bikes can be upgraded.

Do I Need to Upgrade?

Your bike might already be equipped with Bluetooth even if you can’t see a dongle.

1. Turn on your bike
2. Open the app
3. Can you find your bike?

Yes, I found my bike! — Great, you’re good to go! No upgrade needed.

No, I can’t find my bike — Please continue reading below to learn how to upgrade your bike.

Find Your Connector Type

1. Open your battery cover
2. Look for your connector — it’s usually black, rectangular, and has 3 or 4 cables attached
3. Find your connection cable and look inside: Do you see 3 or 4 pins?

3-Pin Connector

If you have 3 pins, you need E7612 - Bluetooth dongle with connector 

4-Pin Connector

If you have 4 pins, you need E7612 - Bluetooth dongle
